Model PM-MMA-280SM is a welding inverter, the design of which is based on efficient IGBT transistors. It is equipped with an LCD display showing the current welding current set by the continuously adjustable knob.
The IGBT transistor combines the advantages of two types of transistors, the ease of control of field effect transistors and high breakdown voltage, as well as the switching speed of bipolar transistors.
A hot start, usually called a hot start, allows you to temporarily increase the welding current above the value set by the welder. HOT START works when the arc ignites and seeks to prevent the electrode from sticking to the material. This helps a lot when lighting the electrode.
ANTI STICK disables / minimizes welding voltage and current in case of short circuit of the electrode with the workpiece. ANTI STICK makes it easier for the welder to disconnect the electrode.
ARC FORCE stabilizes the arch regardless of its length. Regulates the dynamics of the welding arc. Reducing the value of the function, it gives a soft arc and a smaller penetration depth, and with an increase in the value of the function it causes deeper penetration and the possibility of welding with a short arc. At the highest value for the ARC FORCE function, you can “push the electrode into the molten metal bath and burn the material. (In this model, the ARC FORCE function is automatically configured)
the welding inverter is equipped with an electronic fan cooling circuit and other components - the “Turbo-fan” function, as well as a temperature sensor that protects the device from overheating.
The device welds with current from 20 to 280A, allows welding with an electrode with a diameter of 1.6 mm to 4 mm. The weight of the welding inverter is only 2.8 kg, which makes it very convenient. It also has a carrying strap for easy work at height.
1.6 mm electrode welding is already possible with a class 16A fuse. Operation at a maximum current of 280A requires protection of at least 20A.
The welding inverter has standard EURO copper welding connections. Using the EURO standard, you can easily select additional exchangeable welding cables
When using a large fan in a small case of the welding inverter, the air flow was increased, which reduced the temperature of the transistors. The efficiency of the device is up to 60%.
The welding current can be quickly adjusted in the range of 20-280 A. Just turn one potentiometer and set the current strength you are interested in.
The small size of the device facilitates transportation and welding with the device suspended on the shoulder.
